Analog with digital simplicity

OKDIGITAL의 첫 제품을 디자인하는 프로젝트로 제품디자인을 통해 브랜드 이미지를 구축하고자 했다. OKDIGITAL은 락커락을 사용하는 물리적인 아날로그 감성의 OK와 간결하고 스마트함을 뜻하는 Digital이 합쳐진 이름으로 회사의 이름에 걸맞게 사용자의 물리적 감성을 고려하면서 제품 자체에 신뢰감을 주도록 디자인했다. 전체적으로 심플하고 조형을 이루면서 제품 자체가 그립을 할 수 있는 형태로 만들어 심미성과 편리한 사용성을 더했다. 간결한 디자인을 위해 로고를 최대한 숨기면서도 OKDIGITAL을 알릴 수 있도록 컷아웃된 상단 파트에 심볼 로고를 각인했다. 락커락이 열려있을 때는 플랫한 면으로 있다가 잠겼을 때는 락 시그널이 돌출되어 상하좌우에서 보이는 오렌지색 포인트를 통해 사용자가 열림과 잠김을 쉽게 확인 할 수 있다. 캐주얼한 장소부터 고급스러운 장소까지 다양한 장소에 자연스럽게 어울릴 수 있도록 Black, Comfort White, Earth Gray, Deep Brown, Hunter Green, Casual Blue를 적용했다.

The first project for OKDIGITAL was organized to design their first product that could build brand identity. I designed this product to be trusted under the consideration of physical sensitivity to be suitable for the name OKDIGITAL, which is the combination of ‘OK’ of physical and analog sensibility, and ‘DIGITAL’ of simplicity and smartness. Simplicity and Usability were multiplied by designing the overall shape to be simple and easy to grip at the same time. The symbol logo of OKDIGITAL was imprinted on the cut-out upper part to promote OKDIGITAL’s identity and remain concise design simultaneously by hiding the logo as much as possible. It keeps a flat surface while the locker lock is opened, and the lock signal is extruded when it’s locked, letting users check lock status using the orange color point exposed in 4 ways. Black, Comfort White, Earth Gray, Deep Brown, Hunter Green, and Casual Blue have been applied to suit various atmospheres starting from casual to luxurious places.
