Simplifying beauty, empowering accessibility

시각장애인의 IT 제품 활용 경험과 정보 접근성 향상을 목적으로 한 하이브리드 학습기기이다. 이 제품은 점자 입력 장치, 터치 패널, 점자 표시 장치로 구성되었다. 우리는 시각장애인의 관점과 경험, 그리고 상황으로부터 인사이트를 도출하여 유용하고 편안한, 심플함과 아름다움을 디자인에 담았다.

우리는 시각장애인을 고려하여 부드러운 형상 안에 엣지를 이용해 손끝으로 읽을 수 있는 촉각적 힌트를 넣었다. 그 힌트는 제품의 앞, 뒤의 구분이나 주요 인터페이스의 위치 등 사용에 있어서 중요한 단서를 얻을 수 있도록 한다. 제품을 사용할 때에 예민한 점자 표시 장치를 보호하기 위해 필름을 붙이지만 이를 보호하기 위한 일체형 커버를 디자인하여 필름없이 사용할 수 있고, 혹시 모를 커버의 분실 우려를 없앴다.

또한 후면의 터치 패드는 시각장애인에게 IT 기기의 사용성과 편의성을 제공한다.



This product is a hybrid learning device aimed at improvement of the IT device experience and information accessibility for the visually impaired. This product is consisted of three different elements including braille input, touch panel, and braille displaying. Insights were derived from the experiences and situations of the target users. This design contains comfortable user experiences, and beauty of simple form factor.

Inside the soft shape, tactile hints that can be read with fingertips using edges are put. The hint allows you to obtain important clues in use, such as the distinction between the front and back of the product or the location of the main interface.

The touch pad on the back side of the product enhances the usability of the device.
